Obituary of Lola Mae Fontenot

Lola Mae Fontenot December 20, 1919 January 28, 2015 Kinder- Lola Mae Fontenot, 95, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015. She was a native and resident of Kinder. Lola was very devoted to her faith. She was a lifelong member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where she was a Catholic Daughter, member of Ladies Altar Society, helped with St. Vincent’s Closet, past CCD teacher, and for many years a member of Come Lord Jesus. Although Ms. Lola did not have children of her own, she was a devoted mother to so many. Ms. Lola dearly loved people and never went to visit her friends empty handed. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Ms. Lola will be missed greatly by her many friends and family members. She is preceded in death by her husband, Attale Fontenot; parents, Angeles and Alidia Doise, and sister, Mena Mae Lormand. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday January 31, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder from 5PM-8PM with a vigil service at 6PM and a rosary will follow. Visitation will continue Saturday at 8AM until time of service.
