Aimee, Joshua and family you're in my thoughts and prayers. Nano was so special to all of us in so many ways at different times in our lives. Aimee, when I thought of the word wisdom...it was Nano. When I think of the word compassion...Nano explained it. When I think of having fun in the kitchen... Nano taught me. I found the following poem about a Godmother's love and because she had so many of us I feel the need to share...
Godmothers have no wands or wings,
So they work with wisdom, love, and things.
Having taken on this role,
You loved me right down to my soul.
You offered kindness
And greetings with a hug and kiss,
Each freely out of love which I will miss.
I chose a twinkling star in the sky at night,
To say a prayer for you tonight.
You're with God's and the angels and that is Heavens gain,
In my thoughts, you'll always remain
How lucky I was,
How blessed I've been,
You were more than my Godmother,
You were also my friend.
