Obituary of David O'Connor

David Gary O'Connor August 31, 1954 December 29, 2013 Kinder- David Gary "OC" O'Connor, 59, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013. He was a resident of Kinder and a member of Kingsfarm United Pentecostal Church. David worked at Sears nearly 10 years as a TV repairman and recently worked for Baker Business Machines as a computer technician. He will mostly be remembered by his love for music. David enjoyed playing the guitar and composing music. Survivors include his mother, Jerry O'Connor of Kinder; brother, Barry O'Connor of Humble, TX; two nephews, Marcus O'Connor and wife Cindy of Mountain Home, Idaho and Gentry Nolan O'Connor of Humble, TX; niece, Haleigh O'Connor and fiancé Jonathan Arnold of North Carolina; four aunts, Becky Robertson of Kinder, Betty Woods of Lakeland, FL, Barbara Ann Martin and Gail Jones both of Winter Haven, FL; uncle, Gene O'Connor of Auburndale, FL; and a host of other family members and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Nolan O'Connor; brother, Jerry Dale O'Connor; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sedio "Chalk" Rider and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph O'Connor; uncle, Michael Barry O'Connor. Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 1PM at Grace Community Church. Rev. Rod Nesmith, Rev. Steve Haymon, Rev. A.A. Haymon Jr., Rev. T.L. Smith, and Bro. James Rider will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Reed Funeral Home from 3PM-9PM.
