Obituary of Joanie E Granger

Joanie Granger February 01, 1960 December 26, 2021 Kinder- Joanie Granger, 61, of Kinder passed away on December 26, 2021; Joanie was a selfless, thoughtful person who valued her family and her faith. Her wit and her humor brought joy to those around her. She was famous for her puniness and corny jokes. Joanie was a devoted Catholic who enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching Religious Education. She was very supportive to those around her and beloved by her friends and coworkers. She is a woman who lifted many spirits and helped those in need. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children; Austin Rusca of Lake Charles, LA, Erin Frances and husband Dezhaun Hamilton, Drew Riley all of Kinder, LA, grandchildren; Joel Gabriel, Leo Michael, Zeke Raphael Hamilton, siblings; Mariah Granger, Rebecca and husband Joe Headley of LeBleu, LA, several nephews, family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Joanie is preceded in death by her parents; Wildreau and Loraine Cronan Granger, siblings; Peter Granger, Kathryn Granger Landeros, Frances Granger, nephews; Jeremy Hall and, Brad Crochet. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, December 31, 2021, at 11AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Kinder, LA. Father Alan Trouille will officiate. Burial will follow at Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 5PM to 8PM, with a vigil at 6PM followed by a rosary at Reed Funeral Home.
