Oberlin- Phillip G. Linson, 65, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 in his residence surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Oberlin. Phillip enjoyed fishing, hunting and cooking. He also loved to garden and work with wood. Phillip especially enjoyed giving to others and making people laugh. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Valorie Trahan Linson of Oberlin; one daughter, Billie Jean Linson of Metairie; 4 sisters, Marsha Wingerter and husband Roland, Suzanne Gregg and husband David, Brandi Linson and Courtney Walker, Candi Shamburger and husband Raymond; cousin, Francis Lee.
Preceded in death by his son, Phillip G. Linson, Jr.; parents Bill Linson, Sr. and Billie Jean Fuller Linson; brother, Bill Linson, Jr. and one grandson.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1PM in New Beginnings Church in Oberlin. Rev. Chris Paul will officiate. Visitation will begin Saturday from 10AM until time of service. Cremation has been entrusted to Reed Funeral Home of Kinder.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
