Obituary of Mary Lou Livingston

MARY LOU LIVINGSTON Kinder- Mary Louise Kuntz Livingston was born October 19, 1922 in Kinder, Louisiana to Charlie and Freda Kuntz. As a young child she placed her trust in Jesus as her personal Savior. After graduating from LSU, she taught in Louisiana for several years before studying Bible in graduate school at Moody Bible Institute, Wheaton College and Dallas Bible Institute. She taught in the English department at each of these colleges. She married Neil Livingston on September 24, 1955. They had two children before moving to Honduras, Central America to serve as missionaries. In 1998 after 36 years as missionaries, they retired to Kinder, Louisiana. Mary Lou leaves a rich legacy of practical godliness. She set an example of faithfulness in daily Bible reading and prayer and of generosity in giving. The Proverbs 31 woman also describes her, “She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” On October 7th she left this world to meet Jesus face to face. She so looked forward to that moment! She is survived by her sister, Ruth Unkel, her children Carol and Delwin Bardales and Douglas and Gloria Livingston, and her grandchildren Bennie and Josh Bardales, Natalie and Gerson Molina, Victor and Mary Livingston, nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 1PM at Kinder Bible Church. Rev. Don Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday at Reed Funeral Home from 4PM-8PM and will continue Saturday at Kinder Bible Church at 11AM until time of service.
