Obituary of Joseph Theodore Marcantel

Joseph Theodore Marcantel March 31, 1934 September 11, 2015 Kinder- Joseph T. Marcantel, 81, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 in Houston, TX surrounded by his loving family. He was a resident of Kinder and an Army veteran. Joseph was a retired welder and pipe fitter. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Betty Marcantel; four children, Connie Martel and husband Ronnie of Moss Bluff, Pamula Courville and husband Lee of Oak Grove, Mary Jane LeBlanc and husband Terry of Kinder, Kimberly Long and husband DeWayne of Boyce; two sisters, Shirley Manuel and Elsa Berlinger both of Oberlin; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his daughter, Roxanna Patrick; parents; 1 sister and 4 brothers. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 1PM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Green Oak Cemetery.
