Obituary of Effie Mary Jones

Effie Mary Jones December 19, 1927 May 10, 2015 Kinder- Effie Mary Jones, Born December 19, 1927 passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015. She was a resident of Kinder. Effie was a devoted member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. She was a Franciscan, catholic daughter, a member of the ladies altar society, and a member of Come Lord Jesus. Effie was an active member of her community and her church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Effie will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Mary Fontenot; her husband, James “Monk” Jones; 3 sons, Wayne Jones, Walter Jones, and Glenn Jones. Survivors include seven grandchildren, Jonette Richard of Sulphur, LaDonna Rozas of Moss Bluff, Tamara Romero of Ragley, Jamelyn Ragland of Atkins, AR, DeeDee Beechler of Russellville, AR, Missy Mathis of Dardanelle, AR, and Philip Jones of Danville, AR; sister, Bernice Savant of Kinder; 22 great grandchildren and 10 great- great grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 10AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Visitation will begin Wednesday at Reed Funeral Home from 2PM-9PM with a vigil service at 6PM and a rosary will follow. Visitation will continue Thursday at 8AM until time of service.
