Obituary of Joyce Aline Lachney

Joyce Lachney May 15, 1936 May 7, 2015 Kinder- Joyce Aline Lachney, 78, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Kinder. For many years, Joyce owned and operated Lachney Trucking Company. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Joyce enjoyed gardening and ceramics, but most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Cecil Lachney; daughter, Donna LaFargue and husband Michael “Frog” LaFargue of Kinder; grandchildren, Dustin Willis and Michael Willis both of Kinder. Funeral service will be held Sunday, May 9, 2015 at 1PM at Reed Funeral Home. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday from 3PM-9PM with a rosary at 6PM. Visitation will continue Sunday at 9AM until time of service.
