Obituary of Frederick Joseph Dodd

Frederick Joseph Dodd April 1, 1925 January 30, 2015 Kinder- Frederick “Fred” Dodd, 89, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Kinder. Mr. Fred loved to visit with people and especially loved to fish and hunt. He was a devoted husband and father and was an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jane Dodd; four children; Kenneth Dodd of Carencro, Becky Dodd of Kinder, Theresa Fruge of Orange, TX, and Tyra Ardoin of Indian Village; 5 grandchildren, Michael Ardoin, Kelly Woodcock, Kayla Langley, Matthew Langley, and John Ardoin; 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister. Funeral service will be Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 11AM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. John Nichols will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow at Carter Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday from 3PM-9PM with a rosary at 6:30PM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder.
