Obituary of Lily May Savant

Lily May Savant November 20, 1916 January 25, 2015 Kinder- Lily May Savant, 98, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015. She was a resident of Kinder. Ms. Lily Savant was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and past Catholic Daughter. She enjoyed working in her yard, making quilts, and reading books. She will be dearly missed by her loving family. Survivors include four children: Una Belle Richard and husband J. “Wylie” of Kinder, Violet Ardoin and husband Milton of Westlake, Victor Savant and wife Carol of Elton, Anthony Savant of Kinder; 16 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 23 great-great grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren, and 1 step great- great grandchild. Preceded in death by her parents, Marceneau and Victorine Guillory; husband, Octave “Bido” Savant; daughter, Marguerite Barnes; sister, Florence Hillier; niece, Robin Scalisi; great grandson, Cody James Richard. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 10AM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Indian Village Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday at Reed Funeral Home from 6PM-9PM with a vigil at 6PM and a rosary will follow. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 8AM until time of service.
