Obituary of Dennis Paul Fontenot

Dennis Paul Fontenot November 16, 1951 January 12, 2015 Kinder- Mr. Dennis Paul Fontenot, 63, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was a native and resident of Kinder. Mr. Dennis was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, a 4th Degree Knight, and past faithful navigator. He worked many years at Grand Casino Coushatta in security. Mr. Dennis was an active member in the community and in the area schools. He loved to photograph school activities and play the accordion. Mr. Dennis was a devoted husband, father, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dee Dee Fontenot; son, Greg Fontenot of Kinder; two brothers, Carl James Fontenot and wife Tommy of Kinder, Charles K. Fontenot and wife Patsy of Kinder; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Bryan Paul Fontenot; parents, Earl and Laura Belle Fontenot; brother, Phil Fontenot; two nephews, Joseph Fontenot and Jimmy Fontenot. Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 10AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday at Reed Funeral Home from 4PM-9PM with a vigil at 6PM and a rosary will follow. Visitation will continue Thursday at 8AM until time of service.
