Obituary of Lawrence Nolan West

Lawrence Nolan West February 19, 1941 September 30, 2014 Kinder- Lawrence Nolan West, 73, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014. He was a native of Turkey Creek and a resident of Kinder. He was a member of Church of Christ and he served in the United States Army. Nolan enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and working in his yard. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sheila West; three children, Scott West, Keith West, and Laurie West all of Kinder; one brother, Howard Brent West of Pine Prairie; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Curtis West; sister, Maria Lonell Bordelon. Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 3PM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Brown Low-Dindy will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday from 5PM-9PM and will continue Thursday at 8AM until time of service.
