David Lynn Welch, 64, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014. He was a resident of Dequincy. David was a member of First Apostolic Church of Dequincy where he played bass guitar, and was owner and operator of David’s Bar-b-que in Dequincy for 22 years.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Barbara “Bobbie” Caskey Welch; four brothers, Chuck Welch and wife Cindy of Kinder, Kenneth Welch and wife Kathy of Deweyville, TX, Ricky Welch and wife Shelly of Poteau, OK, Timothy Welch and Jody of Elizabeth; a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his son, Harley Earl Welch; sister, Carolyn Marie Welch; and parents, B.d. and Mildred Welch.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 2PM at First Apostolic Church of Deqiuncy. Rev. Charles Braneff Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery in Grant under the direction of Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Visitation will begin Monday at First Apostolic Church of Dequincy from 2PM-9PM and will continue Tuesday at 9AM until time of service.
