Obituary of Barbara Miller Doise

Kinder- Barbara Miller Doise, 79, of Kinder passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 3, 2014, in the comfort of her home. Mrs. Doise was born April 16, 1935. She was a graduate of Basile High School and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Mrs. Doise worked as the office manager for their family businesses. Barbara enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking, and doing puzzles. Most of all, she enjoyed visiting and spending time with friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ola and Maurice Miller and her son, Hollis Doise. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 60 years, Elmer Doise; two daughters, Jacquella Manuel of Kinder, Claudean Moss and husband Dr. Ken Moss of Lake Charles; son, Tom Doise and wife Diane of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, Stacy Hebert and husband Joe, Kayla Davis and husband Jason all of Kinder, Matthew Moss and Brent Moss of Lake Charles, Laurel Jenkins of Covington, and Beau Moss of New Orleans; four great grandchildren, Kyle Hebert, Brandt Hebert, Ross Hebert, and Hollis Davis all of Kinder. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Visitation will begin Friday at Reed Funeral Home from 3PM-8PM with a vigil service at 6PM and a rosary will follow. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers family request donations may be made to a local veteran organization.
