Obituary of John Matthews

March 29, 1939 May 8, 2014 Kinder- Mr. John Dallas Matthews Sr., 75, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014. He was a resident of Kinder. Mr. John was a retired truck driver and he enjoyed working in the oil field. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Ellen Matthews; three sons, Cecil Matthews of Orange, TX, John Dallas Matthews Jr. and Joshua David Matthews both of Kinder; four daughters, Tammy Matthews Broussard of Bridge City, TX, Johnette Matthews of Madisonville, TX, Monica Elam and Melissa Marcantel both of Kinder; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2PM at Reed Funeral Home. Rev. Ronald LaComb will officiate. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake.
