Obituary of Adam Abshire

Adam Abshire December 24, 1935 December 26, 2013 Kinder-Adam Abshire, died Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the age of 78 Mr. Abshire was a resident of the Lake Charles area before moving to Manhattan, Kansas. He was a retired Machanic and carpenter. He was an Army Veteran. Survived by his daughter, Angela Marie Abshire of Lake Charles; son Richard Wayne "Ricky" Abshire of Lake Charles; three brothers, Newton Abshire of Elton, Nolan Abshire of Big Lake, and John Paul of DeRidder; sister Emma Jean O'Blance of Elton. He has 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Memorial service will be Monday Dec. 30, 2013 at 4 pm in Reed Funeral Home in Kinder. Rev John H. Eaves will officiate. Cremation was entrusted to Reed Funeral Home in Kinder. Visiation will be from 3 pm until time of service on Monday.
