Obituary of Robert W Young

Robert W Young February 7, 1954 December 3, 2021 Elton – Robert “Bobby” Young born February 7, 1954, passed away from this earthly life on December 3, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Bobby worked for many years as a crane operator for Louisiana Crane. He enjoyed gardening, farming, hunting, and spending time with his grandbabies. He will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew him. On November 23, 1974, Bobby married June Weideman of Basile. From this beautiful union of 47 years came their daughter; Mandy Young, son; Robbie Young and his wife Desiree, grandchildren; Evan Cain Edwards, Chase Paul Young, Jolene Grace Young all of Elton, LA. Also left to cherish Bobby’s memory are his parents; Paul and Myrna Young, sister; Janet Miller and husband Leven, brother, and Godson; Harold Shuff Jr. and wife Ann all of Elton, LA, in-laws; Clifford and Joan Fruge of Oberlin, LA, a host of nieces, nephews, and special cousins. Bobby is preceded in death by his loving wife June and his brother-in-law Glen Weideman. Memorial services will be held at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder at 11:30 AM, Monday, December 6, 2021, with Deacon Michael Guillory officiating. Visitation will begin at 10AM until 1PM, Monday, December 6, 2021, and a Rosary will be recited at 12PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reed Funeral Home help the family with final expenses.
