Obituary of Annie Weldon

Annie Gidlow Weldon Nov. 18, 1925 Sept. 7, 2013 Kinder - Mrs. Annie Gidlow Weldon, 87, passed away Saturday, September 07, 2013. She was a native of Kinder and resident of Sulphur. Ms. Annie was a former member of the Allen Parish Tourist Commission. She was an avid sewer and most of all she loved her family dearly. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include two children, Ingrid Fontenot and husband Davis of Sulphur and John Thomas and wife Cheryl of Cody, Wyoming; one sister, Carolyn Pousson of Kinder; 8 grandchildren, John Thomas III, Jennifer Johnson, Billy Russ Jr., Neva Kani, Frank Fontenot, Phillip Russ, Ryan Fontenot, and Terrell Hall; 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Frank Russell; three children, Sherry Ellen Thomas, Sonia Ann Waller, Billy Russ Sr.; granddaughter, Courtney Thomas and great grandson, Branson Russ. Funeral service will be held Monday, September 9, 2013 at 10AM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Sharon Harris will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
