Obituary of Murry A Lormand

Murry A. Lormand October 13, 1949 October 26, 2021 Kinder– Murry A. Lormand,72, of Kinder, passed away on October 26, 2021. Murray was a lifelong resident of Kinder. He was married to Susan for 52 years. Murray worked and was a member of Ironworkers and Boiler makers Union where he retired in 2017. He was a member of St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church. Murray enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting at the Calcasieu River. He also loved vacationing and traveling with his family. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. Murray was surrounded by family at the time of death. We will always carry your memories in our hearts. He is survived by his wife of 52 loving years: Susan L. Lormand, daughter; Lisa L. Courville (Todd), son; Charles Lormand (Daniele), Grandchildren; Kyle, and Colin Courville, Abbie Delcambre, 3 great-grandchildren, siblings; Terry Lormand (Joan), Ricky Lormand (Jane), Randy Lormand (Lisa) and Candy Lormand. Murry is preceded in death by his parents; Alex and Mary Ann Lormand Jr., Granddaughter; Alexandra “Aly” Courville. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, November 5, 2021, at 2 PM in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Kinder, LA with Father Alan Trouille officiating. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Reed Funeral Home from 1 PM to 9PM, with a vigil followed by a rosary at 6PM. Visitation will continue at Reed Funeral Home on Friday, November 5, 2021, from 8 AM until 1:30 PM until the time of the service at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Kinder, LA.
