Obituary of Phillip A Taylor, Sr.

Phillip A. Taylor Sr. July 18, 1948 August 26, 2021 Kinder- Phillip A. Taylor, Sr., 73, of Kinder passed away August 26, 2021. He was a collector of many things; any coke product, pens, trinkets, talking stuffed animals, and cowboy things. He loved his family and they loved him; he was a Pawpaw to many children for many years. He had many nicknames by all who knew him: Boy, Dad, Paw Phil, and Pops. He enjoyed spending time and going places with family and friends. He loved to listen to oldies music and enjoyed watching old western movies and had his watch set to his favorite TV show. Phillip will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory are his mom; Mary Joycie Taylor of Oakdale,LA. Daughter Bridgett and husband Nick Murphy of Moss Bluff, LA. Son; Phillip Anthony Taylor, Jr of Ragley, LA. Grandchildren; Brittany and husband Justin Guillory of Moss Bluff, LA. Blake Taylor of Moss Bluff, LA. Parker, Peyton, and Paisley of Tennessee. Great-grandchildren: Logan, Drew, and Sam Guillory of Moss Bluff, LA. Sisters; Pat Dauphine (Tom) of Oberlin, LA, Cindy Loftin (Bob Sayre) of Tulsa, OK, Bobbie Strahan (Ronnie) of Palestine, TX, Susan Marcantel (Leo) of Galveston, TX, Donna Plumlee (Frank) of Oakdale, LA, Many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Phillip is proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years; Bonita Fuselier Taylor, and his father Joseph “Buddy” L. Taylor. Funeral service will be held at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder at 11AM, Thursday, September 2, 2021, with Sister Debbi and Pastor Jarod Grissom officiating. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 10AM to 9PM.
