Obituary of Michael Marcantel

Michael Marcantel December 14, 1964 August 10, 2021 Elton – Michael Marcantel, 56, of Elton passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Mike was an exceptional industrial sandblaster and painter by trade. He enjoyed camping, going to the river, fishing, and having family cookouts. On occasion he enjoyed doing garden work – anything outdoors he would love to do. Those left to cherish his memory are his only daughter; McKayla Powell and husband Justin of League City, TX, siblings; Ricky Marcantel and wife Angie, Clara Fontenot and husband JB all of Kinder, LA, Missy Marcantel of Eunice, LA, and two grandsons; Vance and Wade, a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Mike is preceded in death by his parents; Higney Marcantel and Louella Marcantel, his three brothers; Bryan, Greg, and Gary Marcantel and his nephew Matthew Marcantel. Funeral Services will be held at 1 P.M Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Reed Funeral Home. Pastor Bob Johnston of Hebron Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be held at Liberty Cemetery in Elton, LA. Under the direction of Reed Funeral Home.
