Obituary of Peggy A LaFleur

Peggy A. Stroder LaFleur August 27, 1946 June 2, 2021 Buna- Peggy A Stroder LaFleur, 74, of Buna, TX passed away June 2, 2021, in Beaumont, TX. She was born to Elma and Henry Stroder on August 27, 1946, in Elton, LA. At 4 years old Peggy lost her father and Mr. Canny Reed married Peggy’s mother and assumed the role of father to Peggy and her siblings. Peggy became Peggy A LaFleur when she married Eddie L. LaFleur Sr. on November 28, 1964. They were married 56 years during which time they had their boys; Eddie L. LaFleur Jr. and Brent D. LaFleur. Peggy became a grandmother in 1997 and a great grandmother in 2017. Her favorite past times were cooking, baking, crocheting, spending time with her family and friends. Peggy also enjoyed camping jams with close friends. She cherished every moment spent with family and friends. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 56 loving years; Eddie L. LaFleur Sr. of Buna, TX, son; Brent D. LaFleur and wife Melissa, grandson; Zackry and his wife Cameron, great-grandchildren; Eden and Eddie-Brent all of Lumberton, TX, daughter in law; Connie LaFleur, sisters; Rita LaFleur, Wanda Hebert and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Peggy is preceded in death by her father; Henry Stroder, parents; Canny and Elma Lafosse Reed, son, Eddie L. “Juju” LaFleur Jr., mother-in-law and father-in-law; Roland and Pearly LaFleur, brother; Ray Stroder. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 12PM at Reed Funeral Home, with Brother Charles Manuel officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 10AM until time of the service.
