Calvelene “Kat” M. Courville September 30, 1938 March 06, 2021 Kinder– Calvelene “Kat” M. Courville, 82, of Kinder, passed away on March 06, 2021. She was an A.C.T.S sister with a strong faith in the Lord. In her life she was an entrepreneur and a strong savvy business owner. She enjoyed shopping and cooking; Kat always welcomed anyone at any time with a fresh pot of coffee and a good meal; she enjoyed visiting and getting visitors no matter the hour. She was the best caregiver, and loved spending time with her family, friends, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was rewarded in her life by helping others in their time of need. She is survived by six loving children; Colton Courville Jr, Dennis Courville and Jessica Richard, Allen Courville and wife Angela, Becky Sonnier and husband Bill, Missy Allemand and husband Bobby, Rachal Fontenot and husband Brian all of Kinder, LA, one brother; Darrell Fontenot and wife Margaret of Elton, LA, 17 grandchildren; Kyla, Chaz, Kameron, Chad, Tonya, Toni, Teri, Kandace, Nick, Jimmy, Jarret, Carley, Kate, Hailey, Layni, Trey, Tanner, and Khale, 29 great grandchildren; Foster, Lincoln, Case, Darren, Laila, Lizzie, Nahla, Hunter, Trooper, Barrett, Sophia, Victoria, Jazzlyn, Brayden, Andie, Ayla, Lucas, Riley, Jameson, Wyatt, Bentley, Ren, Ellie, Remi, Abby, Aubrey, Brooks, Ayden, Eleanor and a host of nieces and nephews. Calvelene is preceded in Death by her parents; Cleveland and Azelida Fontenot, first husband; Colton Courville Sr., husband; Norris Ray Courville, sister; Judy Reed, Daughter; Dana Courville and Great granddaughter; Molly Martin Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 2 PM in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Kinder, LA. Father Keith Pellerin and Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Reed Funeral Home from 3PM to 8PM, with a vigil followed by a rosary at 6PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 8AM until 1PM at Reed Funeral Home until the time of the service at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Kinder, LA.
