Obituary of Robert J Allemand Sr.

Robert James “Bob” Allemand Sr. August 27, 1942 February 15, 2021 Kinder– Robert James Allemand Sr. (Bob), 78, of Kinder, passed February 15, 2021. Mr. Allemand was born on August 27, 1942, to Felix and Amy Leger Allemand. He was a man of strong faith and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Elton, where he was an ACTS Brother and Sons of St. Paul. He enjoyed being a church handyman, fishing, hunting and gardening. Bob Allemand, Sr. is survived by his wife, Carolyn Dickinson Allemand of Kinder, LA; son, Robert “Bobby” James Allemand, Jr and wife Missy Courville Allemand of Kinder, LA; step son Josh Huckaby of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Jarret Allemand and wife Amy of Ft. Worth, TX, Layni Daigle and husband Zach of Kinder, LA; and great granddaughter, Eleanor Clare Daigle. He was preceded in death by his parents Felix and Amy Leger Allemand; brothers, Eugene and Earnest Allemand. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, February 19, 2021, at 11 AM in St. Paul Catholic Church in Elton, LA. Father Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow in New St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Reed Funeral Home from 3PM to 8PM, with a vigil followed by a rosary at 6PM.
