Obituary of Tracy Jane Dodd

Tracy Jane Dodd May 12, 1937 December 13, 2020 Kinder- Tracy Jane Dodd, 83, of Kinder, LA. passed away December 13, 2020. She worked at Kinder Elementary School cafeteria for many years. She enjoyed listening to French music while dancing good French dances. Mrs. Jane also loved to go to Mardi Gras and spend time with family and friends. Her favorite time was Christmas and everything that came with it, glittery lights, candy canes and family time; she was known as the “Christmas jug lady”. She also loved to cook, sew and enjoyed sitting on her porch while drinking her cup of coffee and listening to her wind chimes. Her favorite past time was going to the casino to enjoy her alone time and hoped to hit big. Mrs. Jane was known by many because she never met a stranger and will be missed by all of her family and friends. Those left to remember her daughters; Tyra Ardion and Becky Dodd both of Kinder, LA., grandchildren; Michael Ardion, Kelly Woodcock, Kayla Langley, Mathew Langley, and John Ardion, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Fredrick Dodd, daughter; Theresa Ardion, parents Howard and Delia Rider, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 10AM in Reed Funeral Home with Father Whitney Miller officiating. Burial will be at Carter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home.
