Obituary of Marcus Denton Landreneau

Marcus Denton Landreneau December 24, 1964 December 13, 2020 Ville Platte- Marcus D. Landreneau, 55, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020. He was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and loved to have fun and joke around with his family and friends. If you ever wanted to hear a good story, he was known as the “storyteller”. He was a hard worker and enjoyed his career as a welder; he took great pride on welding a fire truck that was sent to aid during 9/11. Marcus will be greatly missed. He is survived by his children; Melissa and husband Scott Lovell and Jess Landreneau, grandchildren; Jeslyn Free, Kesleigh and Baby Paul Lovell, mother; Sandra L. Fontenot, father; Jerris D. Landreneau, sisters; Samantha and husband Mitchell O’Conner, Sandy and husband Stacy Rougeau and Sandrez Landreneau West, nieces; Segie and husband Josh Kiefer, Naomi West, Nephews; Justin O’Conner, Tanner Rougeau, Tucker Rougeau, Thomas West and Benjamin West and 5 great-nieces. Marcus is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents; Jessie and Marjorie Ardoin Landreneau, maternal grandparents; Allen Fontenot and Marjorie Granger. Cremation has been entrusted to Reed Funeral home. A service will be held at on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 10 AM. Visitation will begin Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 2PM – 9PM and will continue Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 8 AM until the time of the service.
