Obituary of Robert Lawerence Ortego

Robert Lawrence Ortego August 10, 1950 November 27, 2020 Kinder-Robert “Bobby” Ortego, 70, passed away Friday November 27, 2020. He was a Lifelong resident of Kinder, devoted to the Catholic faith and member of St Philip Neri Catholic Church. Survivors include his children; Robert L. Ortego Jr., native of Kinder and a resident of Reeves, Edward Brian Ortego of Kinder, Charles Wayne Ortego of Kinder, and Amanda Angelle Ortego of Kinder; one brother, Michael “Mickey” Ortego of Kinder; seven grandchildren, Robert L. Ortego 3rd, Tiffany Michelle Ortego, Victoria Lynn Marshburn, Katherine JoAnna Nicole Rossell, Ashton Alyss Lillard, Sarahbeth Tucker Ortego and Dereck Ortego; three great grandchildren, Damon Rossell, Ryland Rossell, and Jack Marshburn, Austin Coats, Hattie Marshburn. Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Brenda Ann Ortego. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 10 am at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Whitney Miller will officiate; burial will be in liberty Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Visitation will begin Monday at Reed Funeral from 5 pm unit 8 pm with a Vigil service at 6 pm followed by a rosary. Visitation will continue Tuesday at 8 am until time of service.
