Obituary of Phill Fontenot

Phill Fontenot December 21, 1947 June 4, 2013 Kinder- Phill Harris Fontenot, 65, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013. He was a native and resident of Kinder. He worked for Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff Department and was a Navy Veteran. He is survived by his wife Gayle Carr Fontenot six children, Fabian Fontenot and wife Wendy of Pine Bluff Arkansas, Tony Fontenot and wife Melanie of LeBlanc, Phillip Willis of Pineville, Melissa Holland of Kinder, Melanie Sartin and husband Donnie of Starks, Lacey Benoit and husband Jason of Iowa; four step children, Dane and wife Cathy Bolin of Lake Charles, Todd and wife Susan Bolin of Pearland, TX, Heath and wife Kristi Bolin of Tucson, AZ, Robin and husband Paul Abraham of Lake Charles; brother, Ercel "Cook" Fontenot; four sisters, Sharon Reyes Fontenot of Kinder, Nadine Coward of Kinder, Wilona Henry of Lake Charles, Gladys Fontenot of Kinder; beloved mother of his children, Lynda Fontenot of Kinder; 29 beloved grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings. Funeral service will be Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11AM at Kingsfarm United Pentecostal Church. Rev. Steve Haymon, Rev. A.A. Haymon Jr., Rev. Greg Frazier, and Rev. Greg "Boo" Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Jessie Johnson Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Visitation will be held at Kingsfarm United Pentecostal Church Thursday from 3PM-9PM and will continue Friday at 9AM until time of service.
