Obituary of Shelton Pitre

Shelton "Dead Eye" James Pitre November 10, 1949 May 29, 2013 Kinder- Shelton "Dead Eye" James Pitre, 63, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013. He was a native and resident of Kinder. Shelton worked for the Town of Kinder for many years as a backhoe operator and previously was a truck driver for 21 years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his loving wife of 18 years, Darlene Berlinger Pitre; four children, Tasha and Neilson Lovejoy of Ragley, Raven Corkern and Billy Bailey of Kinder, Ashly Corkern and Ben Setliff of Dequincy, Adam Pitre of East Baton Rouge; 10 grandchildren, Austin, Ryan, Harley, R.J., Hunter, Hailey, Trestien, Brayden, Breanne, and Brynleigh. Preceded in death by his parents, Adeline and Edwin Pitre. Funeral service will be Friday, May 31, 2013 at 2PM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. John Nichols will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday from 11AM-10PM and will continue Friday at 8AM until time of service.
