Kenneth W. Fontenot
August 10, 1944- June 28, 2020
Kinder-Mr. Kenneth W. Fontenot, 75, passed away on June 28, 2020. He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran serving from September 10th, 1963 – September 8th, 1967. Kenneth was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as an usher at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Kenneth was employed with CenturyLink as a lead lineman. He loved woodworking, model trains, riding his gator, watching NASCAR and going to the races. Kenneth enjoyed camping and barbeques with his family, he also loved making his family laugh by telling jokes. He loved his family and dearly adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Those left to remember Kenneth his wife of 51 years Geneva Buller Fontenot of Kinder; daughters Carol Holbert, Michelle Pelican and husband Kenneth; sons Mark Fontenot and wife Kelly, and Christopher “Boo” Fontenot and wife Lindsey. He also leaves behind 5 sibling’s Brothers Bill Fontenot, Eddie Fontenot, Doug Fontenot, and Sisters Sandra Lejeune, and Karen Courville. Kenneth leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents Attlie and Lorena “Rena” Fontenot and Mother and Father In-Laws Amos and June Buller and one son-in-law Jeremy Holbert.
Mass for Christian burial will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church with Father Keith officiating. Intermit will follow at Carter Memorial Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2020 from 4PM to 9 PM with a vigil at 6: 00 PM followed with a rosary Reed Funeral Home; and July 1, 2020 from 8 AM until the time of the service at Reed Funeral Home.
