Obituary of Hollis Humphries

Hollis Clay Humphries December 4, 1962 May 21, 2013 Kinder- Mr. Hollis Clay Humphries, 50, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013. He was a resident of Kinder and a member of First Baptist Church of Kinder. Hollis enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all he loved being a husband and he loved his church. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Debra Humphries; three children, Cody Clay Humphries and Corey Dwayne Humphries both of Kinder, Brandi Lynn Cart of Lake Charles; father, Billy Humphries of LeBlanc; two brothers, Robert N. Humphries of LeBlanc and Billy Dwayne Humphries of Texas; three step-children, Michael Marcantel of Oklahoma, Christopher Marcantel of Lake Charles, David Marcantel of New Iberia, and Amber Sowells of Moss Bluff; 17 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Vera Humphries. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 10AM at First Baptist Church of Kinder. Rev. Mike Dugar will officiate. Burial will follow in LeBlanc Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Visitation will begin Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Kinder at 2PM and remain open until time of service. Reed Funeral Home
