Obituary of Sharon LaFargue Fontenot

Sharon LaFargue Fontenot August 25, 1947 April 3, 2020 Kinder-Sharon Fontenot, 72, of Kinder passed away April 3, 2020. Sharon was a retired teacher aid who loved working with the children of Kinder, then became a scrub nurse in Kinder. She enjoyed cooking and spending with her family and grandchildren. She will always be remembered as someone who always took the time to visit with everyone and truly enjoyed visiting. Sharon was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and graduate of Kinder High School Those left to cherish her memory her husband of 51 years Claude John “CJ” Fontenot of Kinder, LA; son, Eric John Fontenot and wife Lorrie of Kinder; daughter, Amy Constance and husband John of Moss Bluff; Siblings, Thophile LaFargue; Tanny LaFleur, Susanne Powers and Sheila Jacobs all of Kinder. A graveside service will be held Tuesday April 7, 2020 at 10 AM in Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 pm until 8 pm Monday April 6, 2020 in Reed Funeral Home.
