Obituary of James Dale

James E. Dale November 4th, 1953 February 16th, 2020 James E. Dale, a resident of Oberlin, Louisiana, was born on November 4th, 1953, and passed away on February 16th, 2020. A memorial service will be held on February 21st, 2020 at 10 AM at The Grand Church in Kinder, LA. Visitation will be held on February 20th, 2020 from 4 PM – 9 PM and February 21st, 2020 from 9 AM until time of the service at The Grand Church in Kinder, LA. He is survived by Norma Dale (his wife of 43 years) of Oberlin, LA; and his five children; William Dale of Brier, WA; Brian Dale of Oberlin, LA; Leah and Jason Guillory of Woodworth, LA; Melanie and Ronald Jacobs of Marksville, LA; and Hannah and Michael LeDoux of Sulphur, LA; and three grandchildren, Micaiah and Josiah Guillory and Jade Jacobs. He was preceded in death by his parents Sibley and Coonie Dale. James lived in Dallas, Texas, during most of his childhood and was the only child of Sibley and Coonie Dale. He attended high school and junior college at New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico. He was a veteran who served in both the Army and the National Guard for a total of 6 years and was a proud member of the American Legion Post 144. He tirelessly worked for countless people putting the welfare of others above his own. He showed with his actions that loving others is not just about talking to them but in doing for them what they cannot or don’t have the knowledge to do for themselves. The love of Christ overflowed from him as he completed work for others that they couldn’t do for themselves.
