Margie Bell Smith January 28, 1927 – January 13, 2020 Margie Bell Smith, 92, passed away peacefully January 13, 2020 in Metairie, LA. She was a resident of Kinder, member of Grace Community Church and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Those left to cherish Margie’s memory are her children, Brenda S. Fruge and husband Edward of Kinder,LA; Henry “Bill” W. Smith Jr. and wife Genevieve of Kinder,LA; Carolyn L. Hodges and husband James of Lufkin TX; Jerry R. Smith and wife Emmy of Plentywood, MT; Roger L. Smith and wife Pat of Nacogdoches, TX; Tammy S. Franklin and husband Curt of Metairie, La; sister Joann Batchelor of Kinder,LA; Brother, William Bell wife Noreen of Kinder, LA; sister-in-Law Geneva Richard of Lake Charles, LA; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 19 great- great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Henry W. Smith Sr.; son Pierre M. Smith and Granddaughter Tonya Smith Berry. Services for Mrs. Margie Smith will be held Saturday, at 1 pm January 18th, 2020, at Reed Funeral Home in Kinder, LA with burial to follow the service at Green Oak Cemetery in Kinder, LA. Visitation will be held Friday, January 17th from 4 pm to 8 pm at Reed Funeral and will resume Saturday, January 18th from 10 am until the time of service. Services have been entrusted to Reed Funeral Home of Kinder.
