Obituary of Kirt Allen Lormand

Kirt Allen Lormand November 26, 1966 January 9, 2020 Kinder-Kirt Allen Lormand, 53, of Kinder passed away on January 9, 2020 surrounded by family and friends. Kirt was a resident of Kinder and grew up in Austin, Texas until 1981. He graduated and played football for Kinder High School, Class of 1985. He graduated from Sowela Technical Community College in Lake Charles. He lived in Oklahoma until he moved back to Kinder in 2013. Kirt worked as a heavy equipment operator, loved fishing and hunting and enjoying life with his chocolate lab – Remington. Survived by his parents Edgar and Linda Lormand of Kinder; His sons Allen Lormand of Houston, TX, Sage Powers and Colten Lormand of Goltry, OK, and Tyler Ezell of Baton Rouge, LA, and one sister Regina Sermon of Billings, Montana, and his soulmate Michelle Smith Baker. Preceded in death by his grandparents Wilbert and Mary Daisy Lormand and Allen and Vera Marcantel. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder from 3 pm until 8 pm and Monday, January 13, 2020 from 8 am until time of service. Funeral service will be held at 10 am Monday at Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Sermon and Rev Rod Nesmith officiating. Burial will be at Green Oak Cemetery in Kinder. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
