Obituary of Villmon Botley Sr.

Villmon Botley Sr. August 28, 1938 – December 13, 2019 Beloved Father, Brother and Friend Kinder-Villmon Botley, Sr. was born on August 28, 1938, in Kinder, LA. He was the son of the late Amos Botley, Sr. and Caroline Jones Botley. Villmon Botley, Sr. went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 13, 2019. Villmon was a native of Kinder and a dedicated employee for Kinder High School and Walmart in Eunice, LA for 38 years. Villmon was a lifelong carpenter and enjoyed spending time outside, studying the Bible and tending to his cattle and rent houses. Nothing was more important to him than his walk with the Lord Jesus and his family. He was a faithful member and Deacon of Starlight Baptist Church of Kinder for many decades. Survivors include his children; Patrinella Botley Latigue and (husband Donald Ray Latigue) of Kinder, LA, Vernella Botley Joubert of Elton, LA., Mae Ella Botley of Elton, LA., Annie Bell Botley Guillory and (husband Gillis Guillory) of DeQuincy, LA., Villmon Botley, Jr. of Austin, TX., Tawaneisha Botley of Kinder, LA; Sharondalyn Botley Madison and (husband Marcus Madison). Sister; Bertha Botley Flanagan of Kinder, LA; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by siblings; DeFerry Botley, Cora Lee Botley, Fred Botley, Leola Botley Alfonce Amos Botley, Jr., Lynn Botley, LeeAnna Botley Jones, Dorothy Botley Joubert, Ora Lee Botley Cassimere, Lee Raleeigh Botley, Leo Botley, Shirley Botley, and Earlene Botley Corbin. Funeral Service will be held at Starlight Baptist Church on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Burial will be in Botley Cemetery, Pastor Jimmy Joseph will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.
