Obituary of Terry Lynn Johnson

Kinder – Terry Lynn Johnson, Paw Paw 65, passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 9, 2019 in Kinder, LA.

 Terry is survived by his mother Betty Johnson of Kinder, LA. He also leaves behind three children; son T-Boy Johnson and wife Tylar of Kinder, LA; and his two daughters, Traye  and husband Quade Guillory of Kinder, LA and Tory Fontenot of Jennings, LA.

He is preceded in death by his father Clifford “Cliff” Johnson of Kinder, LA; and son Lucas Cade Johnson; two brothers Bobby Joe Johnson and Eddie Ray Johnson; and Sister Sandra “Sandra Kay” Granger; and grandson Evan Reed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children and his six grandchildren; Morgan, Allie, Toby, Tylei, Lennon, and Kohen “Popcorn”. His brother Jack “Carol’ Johnson and three sisters; Liz Angermuller, Ann Odom, and Penny LeFleur. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Terry was born on May 1, 1954 in Kinder, LA, to parents Clifford and Betty Johnson. He was a wild card, with a great love and appreciation for classic country music. Hank Sr., Waylon, Merle, Haggard were a few of his favorites but especially Reba. Terry was what you could call a “jack of all trades” in his younger days he spent his days and nights boxing and was also a jockey. For most of his adult years he was a welder with Savant’s Manufacturing.

 In the eyes of his children he was a tough man, until his grandkids came along. He loved his grandchildren, spoiling them and bending the rules for them anything to make them happy. Terry enjoyed making people happy and laugh with his crazy sense of humor. Terry left a great and lasting memory for all that had the pleasure to know him he will be greatly missed.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Reed Funeral Home. The funeral service for Terry Johnson will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11 AM, at Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday October 11, 2019 from 3 PM to 9 PM and will continue on Saturday October 12, 2019 from 9 AM until the time of service at Reed Funeral Home. Burial, following the service will take place at Green Oak Cemetery in Kinder, LA.
