Obituary of Joseph James Henry

Kinder- James Henry, 82, passed away peacefully September, 29, 2019, surrounded by his family in Kinder, LA.

James, enjoyed going to the farm checking on his cattle, traveling, but of all things he loved most cutting his grass.

   Survived by his loving wife Irene Alfonce Henry of Kinder, LA; daughter Brenda Henry Jack of Kinder, LA; son Mark Henry and Fiancee Tina of Kinder, LA. He was blessed with six grandchildren; Jeremy Jack, Brandi Jack, Brittany Jack,  Angelique Henry, Chris Henry and Kacelyn Henry all of Kinder LA, and eleven great grandchildren with two on the way. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and family to cherish his memory.

Lovingly remembered by his nephews; Ken (Godchild), Michael James (deceased), Robert “Bob”, Mike and Pat.

    Proceeded in death by son David James Henry, Parents Milton and Alzina Henry, two great grandchildren Bailey and Hailey, Sister Velma Prudhome and son in law Alton Jack.

   Visitation will be held at Reed Funeral Home on Thursday October 3, 2019 from 8:30 A.M until time of service, with a Rosary at 10 A.M.  

   A mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday October 3, 2019 at 1 P.M. in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Burial following in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Kinder, LA  under the direction of Reed Funeral Home.
