Obituary of Charles Ray Barker

Oberlin- Charles R. Barker, 71, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Barker; together they shared 49 years of marriage. Charles was a diesel mechanic for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing with his family, along with the enjoying the spoils of a good days catch. Charles was a LSU and Saints football fan, happy with the simple things in life.

He is preceded in death by their son Mark Barker and his parents Champ & Lois Barker.

Left to cherish his memory; wife Linda Barker of Oberlin, LA; son Scotty Barker of Oberlin, LA; sisters, Helen Daniels of Oberlin, LA; Peggy Spears of Kinder, LA; and Patricia Barker of Kinder, LA and one brother Bobby Barker of Kinder, LA.

Funeral Services will be Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11 AM in Reed Funeral Home. Pastor Cliff Spikes will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery of Kinder. Visitation will begin at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 4 PM-8 PM.  Visitation will continue Friday at 8 AM until time of service.
