Beloved Mother, Sister and Friend
KINDER – Earlean Botley Corbin went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 4, 2019. Earlean was a native of Kinder and graduate of Carver High School. After high school, she went on to graduate from Southern University at Baton Rouge. She was an Educator and Librarian.
Earlean was a lifelong learner and enjoyed spending time reading, studying the Bible and gardening. Nothing was more important to her than her walk with the Lord Jesus and her family. She was a faithful member of Starlight Baptist Church of Kinder for many decades. For many years she taught Sunday School and Bible study there.
Survivors include her children: Carmen Corbin Marshall, husband Pluria Marshall of Silver Spring MD, Dorothy Corbin Bushnell of Germantown, MD, Steve Bernard Corbin and wife Kim Corbin of San Jacinto, CA; a brother Villmon Botley of Kinder; a sister Bertha Botley Flanagan of Kinder; Grandchildren: Jason Marshall, Natalie Marshall Hughes, Christopher Marshall, Marlease Bushnell, Edmond Bushnell, Britney Corbin, Steve Corbin, Jr., Dayquan Corbin, Alqueisha Lennan, Dejarnette Lennan, Joshanette Lennan, Kaytreonna Lennan, Jawon Wilkinson, Jayvonte Wilkinson, Jakerra Wilkinson; and 13 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by siblings, DeFerry Botley, Cora Lee Botley, Fred Botley, Leola Botley, Amos Botley, Jr., Lynn Botley, LeeAnna Jones, Dorothy Joubert, Ora Lee Cassimere, Lee Raleigh Botley, Leo Botley and Shirley Botley.
Memorial services will be held at Starlight Baptist on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jimmy Joseph will officiate.
