Obituary of Joanna Chaffin

Joanna Holden Chaffin September 1, 1931 March 26, 2013 Kinder- Mrs. Joanna Holden Chaffin, 81, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Kinder and a member of Indian Village Baptist Church. Her calling in life was to raise her children and to enjoy her loving grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is Survived by her six children, Jessie C. Chaffin and wife Brenda of Reeves, Billy Chaffin and wife Sherry of Kinder, Larry Chaffin and wife Karan of Carlyss, Maurice "Moose" Chaffin of Moss Bluff, Glen "Tank" Chaffin of Kinder, and Pat Paxton and husband Mike of Moss Bluff; one brother, Eurshel Holden of Kinder and one sister, Eva Mae Marcantel of Kinder; 12 grandchildren, Rene` Chaffin Hall, Heather Chaffin Nelson, Ryan Chaffin, Casey Chaffin, Chad Chaffin, Jeremy Chaffin, Charisse Chaffin, Monique Chaffin, Jessie Paxton, Lewis Paxton, Sarah Paxton, Caleb Paxton and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie M. Chaffin; two grandsons, Kenny Chaffin and Christopher Jude Chaffin. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 29, 2013 at 10AM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. E.J. McCann and Mike Paxton will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery.
