Topsy- Kenneth Ray Parker, 72, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018. He was a resident of Topsy. He loved spending time at his camp where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Kenneth was a master logger, he worked construction, and also worked pipe line through the Local. He was a 32nd degree Mason in the Rudolph Krause #433 in Lake Charles.
He is survived by his wife, Shelby Abshire Parker; three children, Larry Ray Parker and wife Yolande of Topsy, Gayla Ann Fontenot and husband Paul of Topsy, Paula Lynn Semien and husband Elliott of Iowa; five siblings, Barbara Hardy and husband Don of Houston, James Parker of Topsy, Annette Hebert and husband AJ of Thibodeaux, Sharon Fain and husband Tony of Ragley, Kathrean Pettifield and husband Herbert of Topsy; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his son, Donnie Wayne Parker; grandson, Jayson Matthew Parker and granddaughter, Kaileigh Elizabeth Parker.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 11AM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Steven Spurlock will officiate. A Masonic service will be held Monday, September 17, 2018 at 7PM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Burial will be at Creel Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bel. Visitation will begin Monday, at 4PM and will remain open until time of service.
