Kinder- Mr. James Fusilier Sr., 72, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was a resident of Prentiss, MS. James loved the outdoors. Playing horseshoes and dominoes were a couple of his favorite enjoyments. He loved cooking and visiting with friends and family. James was good at any type of handiwork. He was a devoted father, brother, and friend. James will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by 14 children, Paul South of Kinder, Frederick South and wife Angela of Kinder, Ramona Ceasar of Kinder, James Fuselier Jr. and wife Christine of Richmond, Virginia, Surnovia Hamilton of Kinder, Patterson Fuselier and wife Keisha of Waldorf, Maryland, Felicite Franklin of Kinder, Latrice Fusilier of Houma, Kori Westbrook of Lafayette, Tori Westbrook of Houma, Jadaiaus Fusilier of Prentiss, MS, Ricky Poindexter of Houma, Anthony Poindexter of Houma, Trina Robinson of Houma; son of his heart Earl Kelly and companion Allison Mcinnis of Printess, MS; 9 siblings, Rosemary Chavis of Opelousas, Marie Clement of Houma, Burtman Fusilier of Houma, Dorothy Richard of Kinder, Marjorie Fusilier of Houma, John Fusilier of Houma, Paul Fusilier of Houma, Calvin Fusilier of Dallas, TX, Leona Fusilier of Houston, TX; 30 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Preceded in death by his son, Ronald Fuselier; parents; 7 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral service will be Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11AM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Vincent Fusilier will officiate. A rosary will be prayed at 10AM. Burial will follow at Kinder Cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday at 9AM until time of service.
