Kinder- Mr. Jack Charles Fournet Sr., 87, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong resident of Kinder. Mr. Jack was employed and retired from Tennessee Gas after 40 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and well known for his stories of many adventures. Mr. Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by four children, Jack Charles Fournet Jr. and wife Connie of Kinder, Mary F. Fontenot of Hathaway, Paula Fournet Kingrey and husband Ken of Kinder, Doug Fournet and wife Sherry Vizena Fournet of Moss Bluff; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife, Sally Ann Fournet; son, Mark Kevin Fournet; parents, Willis and Marie Fournet; son-in-law, David Fontenot and 8 siblings.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11AM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Kinder McRill Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday from 9AM until time of service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his nephew, Charles Buck, who kept him entertained and cared for him the last few years of his life.
