Kinder- Willie Wilson Walker, 77, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was a resident of Kinder. Willie enjoyed visiting with his family and friends especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a hard worker and enjoyed doing handy work and loved drag racing. Willie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Joan Ryder Walker; six children, Willie Paul Walker of Kinder, Kevin Walker an wife Tracy of Kinder, Keith Walker of Kinder, Wendy Manuel and husband Scott of Kinder, Sherri Fontenot and husband Shannon of Kinder, Judy Credeur; sister, Loula Mae Cloud of Kinder; 12 grandchildren, Dustin Walker, Chad Walker, Lee Credeur, Tabitha Fontenot, Cannon Fontenot, Brannen Manuel, Blaklyn Manuel, Ashley Lavergne, Kourtney Walker, Kevin Walker, Ethan Acevedo, Joseph Shanabarger; 13 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his brothers, Herman Moore and Howard Walker; parents, Lorice and Woodrow Walker.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10AM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Pastors Monica and David Devillier will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday from 2PM-9PM and will continue Saturday from 8AM until time of service.
