Kinder- Mary Ann Lormand, 87, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017. She was a native and resident of Kinder. Mary Ann was a member of Kingsfarm United Pentecostal Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a good seamstress and cook and loved to fish on the Calcasieu River.  Mary Ann will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her four sons, Murry Alvin Lormand and wife Susan of Kinder, Terry Ned Lormand and wife Joan of Kinder, Richard A. Lormand  and Jane of Kinder, Randall H. Lormand and wife Lisa of Kinder, and one daughter Candy Lormand of Mandeville; one sibling, Mayona F. Steed; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.  

Preceded in death by her husband, Alex Lormand Jr.; father, Thad Fontenot; mother, Nellie Abbott Fontenot; great granddaughter, Alexandra Courville. 

Funeral service will be Saturday, December 29, 2017 at 2 PM at Kingsfarm United Pentecostal Church of Kinder. Rev Steve Haymon and Bro Terry Bushnell will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday, December 29, 2017 at Kingsfarm United Pentecostal Church from 3 PM to 9 PM.  Visitation will continue Saturday from 8AM until time of service.
