Kinder- Earline “Cookie” Johnson Courville, 59, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017. She was a native of Kinder and a resident of Westwego. She was a 1976 graduate of Kinder High School. She loved her cats and she especially loved her family. Cookie was a devoted mother, sister, and aunt. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her son, Keith Courville and wife Tabatha of Zanesville, Ohio; companion, Tony Nall of Westwego; four siblings, Gerald Johnson and wife Ruth of DeRidder, Kathy LaFleur and husband Robert of Kinder, Verna Mancilla and husband Rolando of Kinder, Gail Potter and husband Jamie of Kinder; three grandchildren, Kylee Renia Courville, Audrey Michelle Courville, and Riley James Ellis; a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Audrey and Earl Johnson and son, LeRoy Joseph Fruge Jr.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 1:30PM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder from 4PM-9PM with a vigil service at 6PM and a rosary will follow. Visitation will continue Thursday from 8AM until time of service.
