Elton- Ms. Jeanette Langley, 73, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017. She was a resident of Elton. Ms. Jeanette was a graduate of Big Sandy Texas High School where she was an All- State basketball player. She enjoyed pine needle basket weaving, playing wahoo with her grandchildren, and singing. She was a faithful follower of the Lord. Ms. Jeanette was well known throughout the community and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by six children, Steve Wilkerson and wife Lisa of Kinder, T.A. Wier of Dequincy, Keith Wier and wife Amy of Elton, Bill Wier of Elton, Jeanine Ramirez and husband Antonio of Shawnee, OK, Erica Langley of Elton; five siblings, Gladys Shutt and husband John of Conroe, TX, Carol Whitworth and husband John of Houston, TX, Claudine Hastings and husband Edward of Livingston, TX, Walter T. Celestine Jr. and wife Katherine of Houston, TX, Wayne Bedford Battise of Kinder; 23 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Walter T. Sr. and Doris Celestine and her brother, Elward Steve Celestine.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 10AM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. John Cerneck will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery in Elton. Visitation will begin Monday at Reed Funeral Home from 5PM-10PM with a singing service at 7PM. Visitation will continue Tuesday at 8AM until time of service.
