Kinder- Michael “Dup” Duplichan, 61, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017. He was a native and lifelong resident of Kinder.  “Dup” enjoyed watching baseball and cutting his grass. He was also an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. Most of all, “Dup” loved his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his two children, Mica Duplichan Fuselier and husband Josh of Duralde, Cory Duplichan and Fiancé Lindsey of Kinder; six siblings, Jerry Duplichan and wife Melody of Ragley, Deborah Sharp and husband Arthur of Dequincy, Vickie England and husband Greg of Kinder, Sheila LeJeune and husband Pumkin of Kinder, Marilyn Windman and husband Jerry of Kinder, Jody Duplichan of Kinder; six grandchildren, Asya, Calum, Davalyn, Saydee, Cory Jr., and Ruston.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rena Duplichan; siblings, Danny Duplichan and Carolyn Touchet.
Funeral service will be held Friday, September 15, 2017 at 2PM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder from 6PM-9PM with a rosary at 6:30PM. Visitation will continue Friday at 8AM until time of service.
